Quigley's winning time, 9:10.27, makes her the third-fastest American of all-time at the distance, behind Emma Coburn and her Bowerman Track Club teammate Courtney Frerichs. Frerichs set the American record earlier this summer, running 9:00.85 in Monaco. It was a five-second personal best for Quigley, who kicked away over the final lap to win by four seconds over Kenya's Daisy Jepkemei. |
